Creating a new News or Event Article

Learn how to create News and event articles on your website.

A “Listing” is the article content. Eg. the news article “5 reasons to select an Independent School” and the Event Listing “Junior School Campus Open Day”.

  1. Navigate to Entries > Channels > Select either News or Events depending on what listing you wish to add.

  2. In the top right hand corner select “New Entry”.

  1. Add your Title, Category, Image, Article excerpt, Author name and Author photo.

    1. Only the title feed is mandatory, however, we recommend filling out the Article excerpt to help give context to your article when it shows on the listings page.

  1. Within the “Content” tab build out your article using the sections listed below.
    If your article is lengthy, we recommend breaking up your article using quotes, images and video sections.

  2. If you wish to hide this article from Search and the Navigation, you can change the Visibility preferences within the Settings tab.

  3. Before saving the article, select when this listing is to be posted and/or if it expires.
    For Events with an event date we recommend using the expiry date to make sure you're not advertising past events.

4. Click save.
