How do I use personalization tokens in Funnel emails?

Personalization tokens allow you to create more personal and engaging emails by displaying specific contact properties based on content data within Funnel. These tokens can be added to your email subject line or within email templates to boost engagement with your audience.

Navigate to the 'communications' tab and click 'create email.' From here, you can select the ‘insert token’ symbol to choose from a wide variety of personalized tokens. 




It's important to note that in order for your personalization tokens to display a value, the contact viewing it must have an existing contact record within your Funnel account and a known property value for that token.

For example, if you select the token ‘Guardian > First Name’ you must ensure that you have this information stored within Funnel for it to appear correctly, otherwise, if the value is missing, it will appear as 'Hi Guardian > First Name’ in your email instead of 'Hi Jane.'

Personalization tokens are a great way to engage your audience, but we always recommend sending yourself a test email to sure the values are displayed correctly before sending your email.
