Digistorm and Schoolbox have recently introduced a new token-based connection to notification services rather than a certificate-based one; this approach avoids the need to recreate expiring certificates every year. It also allows push notifications to continually work for app users.
It’s important to note that users should have the latest version installed on their mobile devices to ensure push notifications are received. If users don’t have auto-updates set up, they can manually update to the latest version of the app in their preferred app store. Once the update has been actioned, users will start receiving push notifications again.
If you’re not a Digistorm for Schoolbox App customer or are not on version 21 or higher of Schoolbox, you can refer to this article in case your push notification certificate has expired.
