An event with a max number of attendees will close automatically when it reaches capacity or when it reaches its start date. You can also manually close an event at any stage in the lead-up to the event.
Select the three grey more action dots from within the event and select Close registrations.
Once you have closed the event it will no longer appear on the registration form.
