The Lead Total Count report allows you to see a tally of your leads created in a chosen time range.

This report will show peak times in lead creation numbers. It can be a great way to show yearly figures broken down per month to see busy months vs quiet months.

How to create a Lead Total Count report

Navigate to the Report module and click the "Add report" button.

Select the "Lead total count" report and hit "Create report".

Select the date range first. Note that the date range is based on the Lead created date.

Set the frequency based on how you want the data to be represented.

The graph can also be displayed as a bar or line graph by selecting your chart type. You can also set the data to be cumulative; adding monthly figures together to show your progressive numbers throughout the year, month on month etc.

Keep the cumulative toggle off if you want to see the fluctuation per month/week rather than combined. This will highlight peaks of leads created more efficiently.

Interpreting the results

See the results visually on the graph or in the table below the graph.

To have more information on the counted leads, click on the blue numbers to access the list of leads matching the result.

What more can I get out of this report?

This report can get even more insightful if you include one or more filters in the search.

In the "conditions for data series" filter, you could decide to be more granular to see created leads who additionally meet other criteria.

For example, add an Event filter for "lead attended an event" and see how many leads were created in the chosen range who also attended one of your school events.

Tips to keep in mind

  • The date range chosen on the report references the lead creation date.

  • This report is not for comparison data, it shows the performance of the particular time frame you set (see the Entries comparison report or the Enrolment comparison report for comparison data).

  • When viewing the month range and frequency by week, total lead numbers will include leads created for that whole week; even on the days of the previous month,  not just the current month.
