Our attendance automation template allows you to run an automation based on whether someone has or hasn't attended an event.

From the Automations module, create a new automation for if someone attends an event by selecting Send an email when someone attends an event.

Otherwise, if you want to run an action based on someone registering but not attending, you can select the Send an email when someone registers but does not attend an event.

Once you've selected your template, you'll then need to select the trigger and confirm the Event type for when this trigger should run.

Note: the triggers will occur when:

  • Lead attended the event - This will trigger when a group attends the "Tour" event.

  • Lead registered but didn't attend - This will trigger when a scheduled event from "Tour" ends.

Capturing attendance post event

If you're running an event that captures attendance after the event because attendees can’t check in through the app or QR code and you’re logging it manually. You should include an automation action > delay for when you would expect to capture attendance.

You'll also need to ensure that the Settings > Unsubscribe leads once conditions are not met anymore is enabled so that users are removed from the automation if they no longer meet the condition.
