An ‘event type’ is a category used to group your school events, allow individual registration forms to capture event-specific information, and perform easy filtering.

In the Events module, all of your event types will appear in a list as options to filter by in your Quick filter on the top of your events table. Selecting one of these options will filter out your event lists to only show the events relevant to that type.

You'll be prompted to select your event type when setting up any new event.
