What is a read-only field?

On your forms, fields can be made “read-only”. This means that the person completing the form will not be able to change the value in that field.

This is only relevant for forms that are sent to a guardian pre-populated with data already recorded against that lead and their family.

Why would I want to use a read-only field?

Read-only fields can be useful for forms such as enrolment contracts - for example, you may like to make the “entry year” and “year level” fields read-only so that the person completing the form cannot change the entry year and year level, and try to take a different placement to the one you are offering.

If you are using read-only fields, you must be sure that the read-only fields have been completed before the form is sent to a guardian.
