The first step is to create the birthday email template. This will be used in the automation you'll set up next.

Go the Emails > Templates module, and + Create template

Name your template and then populate the required fields. Make sure you save the template when you are finished.

Next, open the Automations module in Funnel, then select + new automation.

You will then see a pop up window prompting you to choose a template.

You will see there is a pre saved template: Send lead a happy birthday email

Select this, then hit create automation in the bottom right corner.

The automation will look like this:

Then, click choose what happens. Select send email on the left:

Here, you can choose the birthday template you created earlier.

To finalise the automation, check the automation settings by clicking the cog in the top right hand corner:

The final step is to publish the automation. Leads will now get the birthday email on the day of their birthday!
